Minors Offered

In addition to their Bible major, diploma program students concentrate in 1 of 5 areas of study:

Ministry » This minor provides training for pastoral and evangelistic ministry. Includes instruction in pastoral ministry, management, basic counseling and worship leadership, as well as preparation, construction, and practical experience in sermon delivery.

Youth Ministry » This minor is designed to equip students to minister to teenagers and young adults in local church and community settings. Courses cover a variety of topics including youth culture, evangelism and discipleship, teenage development, ministering to parents, counseling, preaching, and staff management.

Missions » Designed to provide the knowledge and skills required to be an effective missionary in a foreign land and culture, through such courses as Missionary Ministry, Cults and World Religions, Cultures and Customs, Missionary Life and Basic Christian Counseling.

Music » For prospective worship leaders and musicians, this minor offers training in worship leadership through courses such as Music Theory, Song Writing and Arranging, Philosophy of Christian Music, Worship Leadership, Worship and Cultural Expression, and Language of Music.
