Practical Ministry & Missions

If you are eager to get into ministry quickly, but recognize your need for practical training combined with intensive study of God's Word, then Elim's two-year Diploma Program in Practical Ministry and Missions (PMM) is tailor-made for you. You'll be involved in concentrated, mentored, hands-on ministry even as you train at locations in the U.S. and abroad.

During your two-year enrollment, two internships will be interspersed with seasons of academic concentration. You will spend approximately 40 weeks on-campus and 24 weeks off-campus in mentored ministry training situations with veteran ministers or missionaries.

The first internship is usually fulfilled at the New York School of Urban Ministry where you will join the regular EBI Juniors in New York City for 7 weeks. The second internship will be abroad and is 11 weeks in length.

Following each practical ministry internship, you will participate in tailor-made classes. These classes are designed to enable you to assess your internship experience, the principles you learned from it and how you might apply those principles in future ministry.

Successful completion of the PMM program will give you 47 units of course credit plus 15 units of internship credit.
