Deans Department
"I
like to compare Elim to a greenhouse. A regular plant greenhouse is
designed to make the best possible environment for accelerated, healthy
and strong growth. Elim is designed to be a Christian greenhouse
with the best possible environment for accelerated, healthy and strong
Christian growth. Every department adds to this environment and the
Deans department is no exception. Our role as Deans is to come
alongside each student in their area of need - for some that is
encouragement, for some it is counseling and for others it is the need
to be challenged outside their comfort zone."

“Personally, Elim provided
the atmosphere for me to make three of the most important decisions in
my life: (1) where I would be trained for life and ministry;
(2) what type of ministry God wanted me to pursue; and (3) who He wanted me to spend my life with. I
have attended 4 colleges. Without a doubt Elim was the school that
provided the tools I needed to build a foundation in Christ that has
changed my life forever. Now that I am on staff, I count it a
privilege to be a part of the great tradition here of guiding the lives
of our students along with likeminded staff members.”

RAs: We
have a wonderful team of RAs (Resident Advisors) that serves as the
hands and feet of the Deans department right on the halls. Each student
is a part of a Cadre or small group that is led by a specific RA. The
word Cadre means "small band of revolutionaries" and that is what we
are all about - revolutionizing the world so they come to know
relationship with a living God. The Cadre becomes a family, of sorts,
for each individual and our ratio of RAs to students is exceptional
averaging about 1:7. It is our hope that every student that comes to
Elim will leave having grown spiritually, knowing God more and with a
stronger passion fueled with a solid base of knowledge and wisdom to
make Him known.
